As the school year continues, we want to highlight some of the amazing work that our Summer 2020 NCUFY Interns accomplished this year! During Session 1, the interns focused on family connections. They built off of previous intern work which emphasized how family connection is prevention when it comes to youth choices around substance use.
Recognizing that cooking and meal times are a great opportunity to strengthen family bonds, they decided to create a cookbook to encourage community members to work together to make delicious meals as a family. Each member of the group picked a favorite cuisine and researched recipes accessible to all age groups.
We particularly hope that New Castle families will use their cookbook to make positive use of the extra family time that we all find ourselves with during the pandemic. Happy cooking!
