NCUFY had a wonderful time at the amazing 2019 Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival! Bringing to the CCBF our themes of “Join the Conversation” and “Family Connection is Prevention”, we interacted with hundreds of families. Children and adults alike spun our prize wheel and told us about some of their favorite Family Connections – favorite meals, vacations and activities to name a few. Participants wrote their answers on colorful post it notes, helping us to create a board displaying all of their varied answers.

Our prize table was a hit too – we gave away all of our puzzles and card games so that our visitors could continue the family fun at home. And it was great to see so many of our drawstring bags walking around the festival, helping the wearers to carry their purchases and spread our message!

We also made some connections and had some great conversations of our own. We were joined by Dr. Amy Ansehl of New York Medical College and Dr. Amy Brown, Pulmonologist with the Children’s Environmental Health Center of the Hudson Valley who had their own festival booth. We look forward to partnering with them in the future, particularly around the topic of vaping.
