Did your middle or high school student come home and tell you that they heard a funny presentation that encouraged them to be true to their best selves? Did you attend last week’s parent presentation by Ty Sells, a motivational speaker and youth leadership and prevention specialist?

Thanks to a partnership between New Castle United For Youth and the school district, Ty met with our students in grades 8-12 to talk about The Power of Acceptance. On Monday night, over 50 parents were in the audience at the Horace Greeley auditorium to engage with Ty about his interactions with our students, the importance of building positive connections and how to have conversations with their children about alcohol and other drugs.
